Thoughts on the trailer

Thoughts on the trailer Gentefied Season 2

I was so excited to see the trailer for Gentefied! A new Netflix show set in gentrified Brooklyn. The trailer seemed promising, but it left me feeling a little sad. It’s not that I wasn’t happy with what I saw, but it didn’t seem like there would be enough diversity on the show. I hope my worries are unfounded, and they end up having a diverse cast of characters if you’re curious about this as well.

Gentefied is a new comedy on Netflix that has captured my attention, and it’s not hard to see why. The show follows the lives of three friends as they go through life in suburbia. One significant aspect of this show that I found interesting was the diversity that was portrayed throughout the trailer. White characters dominate so many shows on TV, but Gentefied has more than just one ethnicity represented, which makes me hopeful for future seasons!

I’ve had a couple of thoughts on the trailer for ‘Gentefied’. First, I’m excited to see such an important topic as gentrification addressed in this new Netflix original. Second, there’s something about it that feels so familiar. It’s like we’re watching a movie from the 90s with all these white people driving through neighborhoods filled with brown people and deciding they want to move there. But nostalgia aside, it seems like this is going to be an interesting show!

The trailer for Season 2 of Gentefied is out, and it looks just as great as the first season. If you were a fan of Season 1, I do not doubt that Season 2 will be worth your time.  As we wait in anticipation for its release date on October 5th, let’s take a look at some insights about what this show actually might be like based on what was revealed in the trailer.  What are your thoughts on how next season will play out? Did anything stand out to you while watching the trailer? Let me know in the comments!
